Intercity Kids is an inclusive educational area that promotes cultural growth and environmental awareness on Intercity trains.
INTERCITY Kids is an educational area aimed at families with children aged 3 to 12 . It promotes virtuous behaviour through play helping kids discover the richness of the natural and cultural heritage of our country.
There will be five educational areas, all with a double theme: aquatic biodiversity and art; terrestrial biodiversity and architecture; air biodiversity and music; underground biodiversity and science / technology; agricultural biodiversity and food.

An inclusive area
This inclusive educational area offers games and activities suitable for children of different ages and abilities, including kids in wheelchairs. Texts at different reading levels can be understood by all school-age children. Besides, the typeface makes reading easier, especially for children with dyslexia.
Sustainability
The entire life cycle of materials has been considered: the set-up is easy to disassemble so that it can be repaired. Components and materials can be easily separated for recycling at end-of-life . Approximately 99% of the materials used are recyclable.
Compatibly with the strict safety standards of the rail sector, we have also selected recycled and recyclable materials, preferring Italian firms:
structures are made of aluminum, an infinitely recyclable material that in Italy mainly derives from recovered and recycled material
the rug is made of Econyl, a kind of regenerated nylon deriving from waste like fishing nets, fabric scraps, old carpets and industrial plastic;
the fabric of the poufs is made of recycled polyester of plastic bottles from waste sorting. It is produced by Manifattura Testori;
the toy trains that run along the tracks are made by Plastiz. They are built in recycled polyethylene derived from industrial waste and sorted collection.
